x Enhanced strength and speed - having consumed the Heart-Shaped Herb native to Wakanda, his strength, speed, and stamina are all beyond that of the average human.

x Multilingual - Xhosa and English.
x Pilot - skilled in advanced Wakandan technology.
x Panther Habit - a black and silver-lined suit that is made from a Vibranium mesh; lightweight and durable with extendable Vibranium claws.
strengths:
+ conscientious - having the desire to do what is right extends to T'Challa's views and subsequent actions in many aspects of his life. Taking on the mantle of King, so suddenly after losing his father, wasn't easy, but he knew it had to be done. It was the right choice as his people needed him to guide them. He is mindful of the decisions he makes, respects his opponents, and understands that there are repercussions, to more than just himself, when he makes a choice. T'Challa is very allocentric.

+ resolute - t'Challa's resolve can be aggressively absolute in the moment. As a King, he's required to make choices and stick by them so that his people can know that he is trustworthy, not unreliable. His determination allows him to complete difficult tasks no matter what emotional of physical state he's in. This strong personality trait can be both a positive and negative, due to the fact that once he's started down a certain path, it takes a lot to get him off of it. Fortunately, any unpleasantness that could be gained from this characteristic is drastically outweighed by all of the good.

+ compassionate - t'Challa spends the better part of his time in canon pursuing revenge for his father's death. It almost consumes him, the need to avenge T'Chaka, but when he learned that his target was a victim and not the perpetrator, he stopped. He realized he'd been duped and that realization colored his perspective forever. He chose to subdue a man he hated and saw to it that he'd receive a fair punishment. As for Bucky, he offered to care for him; he knew that it was dangerous keeping him in Wakanda, but he was willing to take that risk to offer Bucky some sort of peace.

weaknesses:
- assertive - t'challa is very confident in his abilities as a fighter and leader. While it's understandable that anyone in his position should be able to stand by their decisions and be self-assured in their skills, his confidence borders on arrogance. This is very much a weakness for him. The whole world could come for him and he believes that they would not succeed. This solid core of decisiveness exposes him to the possibility of humiliation, though he does tend to learn quickly where the latter is concerned.

- indignant - opinionated and disliking diplomacy, T'Challa shows his anger and annoyance at what he perceives to be any kind of unfair treatment. He won't allow it. He'll put up a fight, ask his people to support him in his decisions, and not back down. In some situations, this would be the right thing to do, but in some, it wouldn't. T'Challa has been known to react emotionally without all the facts or correct information and people can be unfairly hurt by this. When he believes something to be true, he pursues what he thinks is the appropriate course of action and that's not always what ends up being the 'right choice'.

- unforgiving - t'Challa is expected to do what needs to be done, always. This extends to the good and bad. As he was raised to be the next King, he's been instilled in the values and traditions of the Wakandan people. He can be compassionate and open-minded, but he also has to be ruthless and assertive. If someone deserves to be forgiven, freed, or let go without repercussions for their actions, then so be it. But sometimes the more difficult path has to be taken.

[T'Challa does not put on the Panther Habit for his first post to the network, preferring to keep the two identities separate for as long as possible. For the duration of his stay, if he can manage it, though it's not he who would tell the others. He cannot vouch for the people from his own world that are here. Not all of them, at least.

He angles his device to capture his face and little of his surroundings.]

In my culture, death is not the end. It's more of a stepping off point. You reach out with both hands and Bast and Sekhmet, they lead you into the green veld where... you can run forever.

[He'd been told upon his arrival, after many questions, that he was here because he'd felt displaced. While that had not necessarily been true, the thought that this place was something other than what it seemed had crossed his mind. The afterlife possibly, though he did not recall dying - his beliefs negated that notion rather quickly.]

So this cannot be life after death. Do you accept the answers you have been given or do you challenge them? What was the outcome of such action?

[The feed ends there. It's enough of a start to generate conversation.]

prose/action sample:
Your friend and my father, they were both victims. If I can help one of them find peace...

They were the words of the last conversation he'd had in his world. He'd stood with his hands clasped behind his back in front of the wide windows that gave an almost panoramic view of the jungle and waterfalls below. Steve Rogers, a man who he trusted now, was to his left and he'd promised with absolute conviction that he'd keep his best friend safe from harm. More than that, his physicians would do their best to heal him. He'd offered a safe haven for a person who was a victim in the same way that his father had been.

The Black Panther has been the protector of Wakanda for generations. A mantle passed from warrior to warrior. And now because of the death of his father, he also wore the mantle of king. He was to be King and Protector, but what was he now? What could he be here?

He could do nothing for his people or those that he'd made promises to when he was somewhere so far removed, with no way to return. T'Challa had asked to go back. They claimed their technology was not so advanced as to allow such specific travel and he would give them Wakandan technicians to fix their portals, if only he could. Instead, he's forced to break his promises and remain idle. This thought plagues him, weighs him down, and is heavier than any task ever set before him. The only respite, he realizes, is when he's offered the position of a Perimeter Guard.

It's not a solution for his guilt or something that could take the place of what he should truly be doing, but it's an offer to be active and help keep the people here safe. He takes time to decide if he should say yes or no. Applies the positive and negatives of such an action. T'Challa's heart and mind come to a place where they are in full agreement.

"I accept."

The words are spoken easily, with no regrets. It's a position that he takes on fully and will apply his best self to. He shakes the hand of the woman who'd done his interview, appreciative that she'd allowed him the time to think it through before he had to respond. After signing his documents and accepting his new gear and devices, T'Challa leaves to explore his temporary residence. It's the first day of many but he knows that he will go home soon. He has faith.
